1905
Latinos were already employed as seasonal workers in fishing and canning companies.
1910
First immigration document tracked for a Mexican living in Ketchikan.
1930´S
The Farthest North Collegian magazine reported the hiring of Miss Cecelia Robinson as Spanish instructor, in Fairbanks.
1939 - 1945
Latinos enrolled in the military during World War II.
1952
La Cabaña Mexican Restaurant opened in downtown Anchorage.
1960´s
1964
A wave of construction workers arrived in Alaska to help rebuild after the Good Friday earthquake.
1969
Benny's Food Wagon, first taco truck in Anchorage, opened to the public.
1969
LaMex opened in Anchorage, employing mainly Latinos in the kitchen.
